Doug Towes has pointed out in one of his blog posts that 30% of web users are not using Internet Explorer. I think the number is closer to 20% when I go through my logs but it is still important.
Over 30% of Your Site Visitors Are Not Using MSIE
One of the things that is important to do, I feel, is to make sure that you use a fairly simple layout for your webpage. Another thing you should do is to download the latest copy of Firefox and test seeing what your website or weblog look in that browser.
Firefox is the alternative web browser to Internet Explorer and many people are using it as their primary browser. One of the really great features of Firefox is its ability to accept third party plugins. One of the ways that you could be reading this weblog right now is through an RSS reader and there is a plugin for that for Firefox.
The other big reason that people are using Firefox is the security that it has compared to Internet Explorer, internet explorer by default allows Active X scripts as well as other scripts to run that can infect your PC with spyware or viruses and Firefox does not allow these to be run at all by default.
