Increasingly, companies, TV shows, including Internet sites use Facebook pages to air their products or services, as well as gain more users and interact with them more directly.

Facebook Fan Page 5 Facebook Fanpage Tips

1. Create custom tabs Custom Ads.

Promote your trade name page is very important. One of the major features of the new pages of Facebook is that you can link directly to specific tabs. That means you have the possibility of setting up what pages users access based on default Ad in which they have clicked. For example, perhaps you would like to point to two groups of users in different geographic locations. Could you show an advertisement to citizenries in Buenos Aires and those users will land on the user’s specific page of Buenos Aires. A Different page will show for those who come from elsewhere.

While this system is not necessarily the most scalable (for example, have 50 flaps does not make sense), can positively determine the conversion of some visitants into fans. This method also commands dropping a little more customization, but I think it is necessary for brands and small companies.

2. Do not let the users fall in the Wall.

Why is that? Well, I think the most likely to encounter things that interest you. It is a good opportunity to present good info to these new users, although the information provided by the existing fans can be interesting, you have no control over it. So it is better than new visitants from entering an area moderated info and then proceed to pilot the rest of the most dysfunctional.

Yes, the wall may be very valuable to allow users to intercommunicate with you, your brand, but unfiltered waters are the last place you should let the new user to navigate. Give them a safe entering into the murky waters we call “social media” and will thank you.

3. Integrates practical applications to increase the connection.

The last thing you want to happen is that users enter in our site and go away immediately. The biggest chance we have to capture their intense curiosity is through striking applications. There are about 55,000 applications on Facebook platform and a large part of them can be placed directly on your site for fans. In the coming weeks there will be many applications that are built from the new API, which will make it easier for brands to launch relatively attractive Facebook pages in hours.

For larger brands, I recommend to develop a more full bodied experience for the user. Games, tests, and any other dynamic content in general can help keep users longer on your site. As you know, we live in care economy, which means you want to get the best possible customer care. One thing you should make sure, is that your application has a call to action, so that when the user lands on your site is immediately attracted.

4. Post interesting and relevant content.

Like other areas of social media is very important to provide interesting content for your readers. Facebook is no different. Mentioning to relevant content regularly, your fans will keep returning to your page. While pulling repeat visitants is not the most important component of the fan pages, repeat the connection with them is easily the second most important thing. In virtual economic systems, one of the most effective measurements is the repetition of use. Factbook pages and other digital channels of content are no different. Returning users to your website on a regular basis, are those most likely to become giving customers.

More importantly, users returning to your Facebook are more likely to remain customers. The bottom line is that a Facebook page that is equal to all, you are not doing your company any favors. Yes, having some presence is better than nothing, but if you take the time to say this guidebook please make a little extra effort and create an attractive page.

So how do you find interesting content?.
I will not go into great detail about finding interesting content, you should be able to find relevant content for your readers by doing a search on Google Blogsearch, and accompany it with an RSS reader like Google Reader. Typically assume that most readers of this land site know what RSS is, but if so, is simply a way to read the content of sites without having to visit them all individually. Unfortunately, finding interesting content, takes time.

5. Update content regularly.

While it is very important to monitor the conversation that users have with the pages of your brand, it is also important to help revive the dialogue. By including questions for users, make new matters in discussion forums and other activities that bring forth the interaction, and cause users to keep coming into your Facebook page. This is a concept similar to post blog entries regularly (which can be automatically brought in into your Facebook fan page) in your company’s blog.

As I have accented the importance of content quality and attractiveness of your fans, the most important thing is perseverance. Unless you keep trying to attract to your fans on a regular basis and pursue composing interesting content, you will find it difficult to draw in new fans made continuously.

After Creating your Fan Page you can use some services to Buy Facebook Fans and boost your popularity going viral.

Here is a great primer of what to think about in your marketing message.

Make Marketing History: The J Train (A Marketing 2.0 Minifesto).

The bottom line is that you can not control the conversation with your clients in this new way of the social internet but it is important to stay close so that you can make sure to push it for yourself.

Not sure what all this really means? Remember when people said that bad news would travel faster than good news? That one unsatisfied customer would tell 7 times as many people as one happy customer? Well now people are communicating more and more quickly on the internet and the conversations are being seen by more people thansk to blogs so you want to make sure people know what you think and that you communicate with them more online.

I just ran across a report by Mike Filsaime that talks about how Internet Marketing is going to be changing over the next year or so from where we are today. Things like dropping click through rates, ineffective autoresponders and the long tail are discussed.

One of the really great things that Mike brings up is the idea of the Skulls which is a method of getting a group of partners together to promote products. of each others.

I know that most of the time Mike Filsaime generally sends out info on internet marketing for the internet marketing guys so I did not want to throw the “get rich quick” scheme kind of stuff at you. This report though seems really good and although you have to jump through a couple of hoops to get at it I think it is well worth the couple of clicks to do so.

Google was even stronger last month compared to the month before and year before in the percentage of the market that they have captured for web searches. One of the problems they seem to have run into over the last few months though according to some webmasters is that there search results have lost some of their relevancy. We will see how this translates going forward.

comScore Networks today released its monthly qSearch analysis of activity across competitive search engines. In April 2006, Google gained in search market share for the ninth consecutive month and maintained its status as market leader with 43.1 percent of all U.S. searches conducted on its sites. Yahoo! remained in second place with 28.0 percent, while MSN ranked third with 12.9 percent.

Americans conducted 6.6 billion searches online in April, up 4 percent from last month.

• Google Sites led the pack with 2.9 billion search queries performed, followed by Yahoo Sites (1.9 billion), MSN-Microsoft (858 million), Time-Warner Network (457 million), and Ask Jeeves/Ask Network (384 million).

• MySpace.com has been added to the search engine rankings for April 2006, coming in at 6th place with 43 million search queries performed (0.6 percent share of the U.S. search market). Will this smaller player eventually be able to grab a substantial share of the search market due to the site’s remarkable popularity?

• Google and Yahoo! continued their dominance among toolbar searches, combining for more than 95 percent of the market share in April. Google grabbed 48.0 percent of toolbar searches, while Yahoo! captured 47.6 percent.

qSearch includes Web searches originating from the search engines reported, other Web-based searches such as News and Image searches and channel searches conducted on portal sites (e.g., Finance and Movies). qSearch does not include Yellow Pages or Maps searches.

I have been a little quiet lately. I have to apologize for that but I have been working hard on two fronts. I have been putting together my internet marketing ebook and that is stealing quite a bit of time and as well I have been trying to finalize a few other projects I have been working on. If you would like to get in on an advance chapter of the ebook before it comes out please just send me an email and I will get it out to you as soon as I get things done on the sample chapter…feedback to me is always essential.

I would like to again take this opportunity to let you know about my Web Savvy Realtors web directory. If you have a website or weblog just go to it and add your site. This is a real easy way to add to your “backlinks” as well as get your site indexed faster if it is not already.

One final thing. I have had a lot of Realtors from New York try to subscribe to my newsletter but are not leaving email addresses. If someone form the office could contact me I will get everyone added and get a newsletter set out as soon as I can.

Well I have been looking over my posting stats over the last month and find that I am in a bit of a rut. Not many new posts but there is still a lot going on. I am going to be expanding a bit by delving a little more into offline as well as online marketing for Realtors from now on.

I will continue to be posting about anything that is cutting edge as far as internet marketing goes for real estate in general and Realtors in particular but I also want to make sure that while we are sitting in front of our computers that we don’t miss out on other exciting marketing trends that are happening right outside the computer room door.

Have a great and prosperous new year and many wonderful transactions in 2006

Ramblings about the internet

Last night I was sitting at my computer writing a review for a Realtor Internet marketing book and just before I was about to post the review I stopped and looked through the review. As I was reading the review I realized that the book itself was more about selling the book than it was about helping Realtors to really take advantage of the internet. Obviously I did not hit the post button and that led me to a bit of a sleepless night and this post.

I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately about just what I should be doing with my time on the internet and with this weblog in particular. What kind of information I should be putting out? I have been compiling internet marketing information for years and have also been driving my wife crazy with my comments about Real Estate marketing and what is right and what is wrong with what Realtors do today to market themselves. This has been leading me to the idea of writing a real estate marketing book.

Three years ago I got started writing a Real Estate marketing book but lost interest in it about half way through as most of the info was just all of the same blather that I was seeing everywhere else. I was grabbing what I thought was the best of Craig Proctor, Mike Ferry, some of the older trainers such as Floyd Wickman and Brian Tracy.
In the end after going through all that I realized that in terms of telemarketing, direct mail, organization and following up leads through the mail and over the phone that I had nothing new to offer so I let the project fall by the wayside.

Now I am looking at all of the internet knowledge that I have picked up over the last eight or so years and realize that I do easily have enough to offer in the Real Estate Internet Marketing space. I have been going though all of my notes and sketched an outline for a book that I hope to have completed some time over the next month or so, just in time for new years planning for Realtors.

At this point my book will be focusing on all of the essentials for Realtor marketing on the internet. I am going to be setting up a good solid plan that any Realtor can follow in creating a web presence and how to convert online web surfers into real customers. As I am sure you know by reading through this weblog there are a lot of facets to marketing on the internet, the project as I see it has to be all encompassing because a lot of what I see on the internet is noise and buzzwords with no real plan behind how to succeed with a business on the internet.

I hope that you are as excited about these ideas as I am in setting them up and as soon as I have everything put together I will telegraph everything through the weblog. In the meantime if you have any questions about the book please email me at realtor@xptechsupport.com.

I just found this article about weblogs by Jim Edwards, one of the top copywriters today:

Blogging, the hottest trend in online publishing right now, is currently spreading like wildfire across the Internet.

A cross between an online journal and a bulletin board, everyone from rock starts, politicians, business leaders and your average “Joe” or “Jane” can instantly become a center of influence online using blogs.

But, as with any social interaction, certain rules apply (my grandma calls them manners) in order to be viewed as behaving “properly.”

One of the things that gives blogging such strong appeal as an online publishing method revolves around “comments.”

Blogs that allow “comments” enable readers to respond and elaborate on the information posted by the blog owner.

These comments and the free exchange of information, opinions, links, and new ideas creates the dynamic and growing content that makes blogging such a popular online activity for both publishers and readers.

Blogging, the hottest trend in online publishing right now, is currently spreading like wildfire across the Internet.

However, rules and unwritten customs about the proper use of “comments” on a specific blog are also where most of the problems and controversy will arise.

Since a successful blog eventually becomes a community of people (albeit in cyberspace), proper social behavior is critical to be an effective and accepted member of the community.

Keep these basic rules in mind when approaching a new blog that allows commenting by readers so you won’t find yourself on the wrong end of a scolding by people who operate with a different set of rules than you.

As with any social circle, violating the group’s rules and customs will instantly cause a negative backlash.

** Keep It Relevant **

Stay on topic with the post you’re commenting about in a blog.

Nothing will earn you the wrath and disdain of your fellow posters and the blog owner faster than posting an off-topic comment.

** Watch What Others Do **

Different blogs operate under different rules. What rates acceptable in one blog would earn you a verbal thrashing in another.

Before posting (especially if you have not posted to a specific blog before), look to see the types and quality of posts others make regularly.

Are they long or short?

Do they contain a link to the person’s website?

Is there a “signature” under their name?

** Be Polite **

It’s fine to disagree with people when making a comment, whether it’s the blog’s author or a comment made by another reader.

It is not, however, acceptable to launch a personal attack on anyone or make nasty comments in someone else’s blog.

If you feel the need to do so, do it in your own blog.

It’s the same principle of you can say whatever you want in your own house, but when you’re in someone else’s house, you act right (and better than you do at home).

** You Can’t Respond To Everyone **

If you operate a blog and someone asks a question, try to respond, but both sides should understand that you can’t respond 100% of the time.

We all get busy and a blog, unless it maintains a paid membership, is often supported as a labor of love.

I would like to let you know who I am and what I am doing with this weblog.

My name is Bill Nadraszky. I was a Realtor a few years ago for three years and left the industry to persue my passion for computers and the internet. I was not the greatest Realtor but was always intrigued with the marketing and still made 100 or 120 cold calls a day to try to ring up more business.

My mother, Carol Nadraszky is a Realtor here in Calgary and has now been a Realtor for 12 years which is why I still care about Real Estate. My moms business had always been offline and although I created her first couple of websites I have never been happy with their performance. I talk big about what should and should not be done online with web marketing and I am sorry to say for the real estate industry that a lot of other industries leave us in the dust as far as making sites that work comes in.

Over the last four years I have spent a lot of time observing, reading, and testing the latest fads and ideas about internet marketing and although I am not a guru by any means I have seen and learned a lot and laughed at a lot that I have seen as well.

I am going to use this weblog as a forum to vent about what I believe works and what does not work in Real Estate marketing online and maybe even sometimes offline (bus benches and most slogans drive me crazy). My attitude offline tends to be a little quiet unless I am at a family gathering but I believe you will find my opinions a bit stronger than that.

I hope you like what you see and take it for what it is worth. My goal is really to put my ideas out there and if something you see sticks great, if it does not at least I hope it will give you pause for thought.
