Why Website Templates are Terrible

You need to know that there are three crucial areas that most agents neglect when creating or purchasing their real estate website templates. The first is they fail to capture their leads and provide a follow up, the second is that they do not properly use video and the third, costs them the most trying to re-invent what a good real estate website template is.

Differentiate Yourself

It’s hard to differentiate yourself as a real estate agent, because you pretty much sell the same service as 99% of all the other agents in your market. You might say “Hey, I have a niche!”, sure, but at the end of the day it is real estate sales. So of course you are then going to put in an agonizing amount of work customizing it and writing custom content right? You need to separate yourself from the crowd.

Of course there will forever be an importance in branding and creating separation from the competition, but that importance should not overshadow other crucial aspects of your marketing on a real estate website template. That said, there are out-of-the-box solutions for real estate website templates than can do an excellent job for you – provided you take into account the other two criteria for your real estate website template.

You Need to Use Video

As was said earlier, the second mistake is not using video on your website. Using video can quickly and effectively connect you with a potential client. Meaning that using videos will get your potential interested faster and get them to spend more time on your site (which is important). It has been shown that they are also 300% to 400% more likely to contact you. Meaning they become a lead!

For sales people it is well known that over 60% of sales happen after the 5th contact. But approximately 11% of agents follow up more than 5 times. This is the reason for the large gap in incomes between successful agents and mediocre agents. This can be fixed with something called a sequential auto responder and it needs to be connected to a “bait / response” system on your real estate website template. Essentially you provide bait that allows you to get the email address of the potential client, once this is in your system it sequentially sends out the email series that has been setup. You will be amazed by what a good auto responder setup can do to grow your email list while on autopilot. Remember 76% of home-buyers start with looking at listings online, even though they really should start with getting pre-approved for a mortgage.

What to Look For in a Realtor Website Template

There are many options for real estate website templates, but only a few have all of the features that are necessary for you to dominate your area. Remember, when looking for a website template, it should allow you to easily, capture leads, post videos, display listings and follow up on potential clients automatically. Settling for anything less is a waste of money. The world of online marketing is hyper-competitive, a lot of people who waste money believe just putting up a real estate website template will bring them business. If you believe that, then I have some magic beans I would like to sell you!

Properly designed websites can provide a steady flow of clients in even the worst of markets. So avoid these mistakes and make some money!
